What vegetables can be planted this Fall in my garden?

It's time again to start digging in your garden.  Time to turn the dirt over and get a little fertilizer in the ground.  Some Fall planting has already started but now is as good of a time as any to get yours going.  Here is a list of what you can plant and an average time to plant them:

Broccoli = August through September
Brussel Sprouts= mid-August through September
Cabbage= mid-August through September
Carrots= September 1-30
Collards= Late August through late September
Lettuce= September 1-30
Mustard = Mid August through end of September
Parsley= Mid August through mid October
Radish= Mid September through mid November
Spinach= Mid September through First part of November
Turnips= Mid August through first part of November

Remember that these are average dates and it will vary from year to year depending on temperature and rainfall.
My quote of the week comes from Lyndon B. Johnson.  It reads, "Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win our lose."
