What can I use to get rid centipedes?
Spring is the time when most people really start to notice centipedes and millipedes. Part of the reason is people who get out and dig around in flower beds or gardens and discover them under rocks, or dead wood. They can also migrate from excessive rain or water, drought or lack of food.
Centipedes can be good and bad. The good thing is they are one of the few predators that feed on spiders. The bad thing is they do sting. Their sting can feel like a scorpion or bee sting. Some people can have allergic reactions to them so if you see one, avoid it or find some way to handle it without skin contact. Maybe a vacuum or a leaf blower.
If you want to spray for them, try a product called Demon. It works very well on centipedes and also will be excellent for scorpions. Spray around the outside of your house to deter them from coming in.
My quote of the week comes from Peter De Vries. It reads "The value of marriage is not that adults produce children but children produce adults."
