What can I feed my birds without using a feeder?

The past few months, I have been experimenting  with a wild bird block and it has been very successful.  This is a 20 pound block made by Purina that can be set outside for the birds to eat.  It will last a while depending on how many birds you have coming to it.  Mine usually lasts 2-3 months and there are birds eating every time I look outside.  The thing I like about it is it seems to last longer than loose seeds and you don't need to buy a feeder to use it.  This is a compressed block that is filled with milllet, wheat, sorghum and sunflowers seeds.  There is also one that has corn, millet, wheat and sorghum made for squirrels and other wildlife.  And another bonus is that the deer love them.

My quote of the week comes from Mark Twain.  It reads, "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt."
