Why have my chickens stopped laying eggs?
First thing is to start feeding them a Layena pellet or crumble. This can give you many more eggs if they have not been on feed previously. If you have been feeding them then it is usually a problem with warmth and daylight. Chickens usually require 14 hours of daylight and warmth for eggs. If you place a heat lamp in the pen with the chickens, it should help. This should work to keep the chicken warm and also supplement light. You may want to consider a few lights in the house. Chickens can and usually will go through times of non-laying periods or resting periods. This can be good for the chickens to give them a little break so they can rest up for laying later on.
My quote of the week comes from Hank Aaron. It reads, It took me 17 years to reach 3000 hits in baseball but I did it in one afternoon on the golf course."
