Soil Samples
We offer soil samples.

Just follow these 5 steps:
1.  Come by the store to get your soil sample bags and a soil probe.
2.  Go to the field and take 8-10 samples minimum per field.  More on larger fields
3.  Mix the dirt from the same field and combine to get at least a pound of dirt.
4.  Place dirt in the soil sample bag and name or number the field on the bag.
5.  Repeat above steps in every field you want to sample.

Tips
1.  Use a clean plastic bucket to hold field samples before you bag them.  Galvanized buckets can throw traces of zinc in the sample and washing the buckets with soap can add phosphorous.
2.  Push probe approxiamately 8 inches into the soil to get your sample.  Remove the top inch where it may hold manure or roots.  Take the next 5-6 inches and add to your bucket for the sample.
